We offer 2 spaces for support of parents, carers and guardians.
The Talkzone Parent & Carers Support Group and the LGBT+ Parent & Carers Group.
Our groups are both monthly and will support Parents and Carers of young people in the Bassetlaw and Nottinghamshire areas.
Your child does not have to be enrolled in our services for you to access our parent support groups. More information can be found below.​​​​​

Talkzone offers a monthly parents and carers group to parents/carers with a child or young person aged 0-25. Your child does not need to be engaging in the service for you to access peer support. The group will: ​ Enable parents and carers to discuss their child or young person's mental health and emotional wellbeing needs Discuss the impact this is having on themselves and/or the wider family. Staff facilitating the group will aim to: Hold a safe space where you can share your thoughts and feelings Provide you with information and advice around coping techniques Signpost you and your family to additional support if required
Providing a safe space for parents and carers (whose children identify as LGBT+ or are questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity) to meet other parents and carers in the same or similar situations and access support and information. The group enables parents/carers to meet and access a range of information or support from qualified and trained staff. The group is open to all parents/carers regardless of the age of their child or children.
