Talkzone services

Workshops
We offer interactive workshops aimed at children and young people in schools, colleges and other educational settings. These can cover and range of issues, including managing stress, confidence building and understanding emotions. Please contact us for a programme or quote.
Counselling
Counselling offers a safe, supportive space to talk through challenges—whether past or present—with someone who is not directly involved in your situation.

If you’re feeling sad, angry, worried, stressed, confused, or overwhelmed by emotions affecting your mental health, counselling can help. Sometimes the reasons are unclear, while at other times difficulties such as anxiety, bullying, family or relationship breakdowns, low self-esteem, grief, depression, self-harm, abuse, or questions around sexual orientation or gender identity may be contributing.

In counselling, you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly and without judgement. Your counsellor will listen and support you, helping you to better understand and manage your mental health in a way that works for you. They won’t give advice or tell you what to do but will work alongside you to find your own way forward.
Staff qualifications
All of our counsellors are professionally trained and work in line with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. At times, you may be placed with a student counsellor who is in the final stages of training and supervised by an experienced practitioner.

Confidentiality
What you share in counselling is confidential. No letters or information will be sent to your home address without your permission, and all personal details are stored securely in line with GDPR. Counselling is designed to be a safe space for you to speak openly without fear of judgement.
However, there may be rare occasions when information needs to be shared with others to keep you safe. If you’d like to know more about our safeguarding policies, please speak to a member of the team.
